As we hurry from one holiday task to the next, it’s easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of the season. But how often do we pause to think about Mary, the Mother of God? Have you ever wondered about her preparation—her thoughts, her courage, her hope—as she made room for the birth of Jesus?

This Advent, you are invited to step away from the noise and join us for a virtual retreat that turns our hearts toward Mary’s journey. From the quiet of your own home, we’ll gather on Zoom for prayer, scripture, reflection, and journaling. Together we’ll explore how Mary’s faithful “yes” opened the way for Christ to enter the world—and how our own “yes” creates space for God’s presence in our lives today.

Through guided times of stillness and personal reflection, you’ll discover the deep peace of Advent—a peace not found in the rush of the season, but in the quiet, courageous openness that Mary embodied.

Come, pause, and prepare your heart. Like Mary, may we find the courage and joy to welcome Christ anew.

In the spirit of Mary’s compassion and care, we invite you to consider supporting one of the Sisters of Mercy’s ministries—Holy Angels.

Holy Angels provides compassionate, dependable care and meaningful opportunities for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delicate medical conditions. Their mission nurtures the whole person—physically, socially, spiritually, educationally, vocationally, and emotionally.

You can learn more about them here. If you feel led to give to the mission, you can do so here.
