Join writers Cheryl Wilder and Barbara Presnell for a nourishing two-day retreat designed to help you reconnect with your inner voice and restore your sense of well-being. Healing Words: Mindful Writing for Self-Care invites participants to explore the transformative power of writing, reading, and creative expression—whether you are navigating a difficult period in your life or simply seeking space to breathe amid everyday demands.

Across the weekend, Cheryl and Barbara will guide you through a series of mindful writing practices that encourage deep reflection, emotional clarity, and creative discovery. Using prompts drawn from poetry, memoir, nature writing, and contemplative traditions, you’ll have the opportunity to examine your experiences from fresh perspectives and uncover insights that may have been waiting quietly beneath the surface.

Time will be spent both in community and in peaceful solitude. The natural surroundings play a central role in this retreat.

Quiet walks, outdoor writing sessions, and moments of stillness will help you tap into the grounding presence of the world around you. As we look outward to the landscape and inward to our hearts, we will work together to release the stresses, worries, and emotional burdens that accumulate in everyday life.

By the end of the retreat, you’ll leave with:

  • New writing practices to support your emotional and creative well-being
  • Tools for integrating reflection and calm into your daily life
  • A renewed sense of clarity, self-compassion, and resilience
  • A collection of fresh writing generated from prompts and exercises
  • The companionship and encouragement of a supportive writing community

This retreat welcomes writers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re longing for healing, inspiration, or simply a quiet space to listen to yourself again, Healing Words: Mindful Writing for Self-Care offers a gentle path toward inner peace and creative renewal.

Retreat Includes:

  • Two nights of accommodations in a private room with private bath
  • Nourishing, complementary meals
  • All retreat materials and supplies

Registration is limited so register early.
