We live in a noisy world that constantly clamors for our attention. In the midst of these interruptions, we are still offered the sacred invitation to pause and be still. When we persevere in silence, we open ourselves more fully to the possibility of hearing God’s whisper.

Thomas Merton reminds us:

“It is not possible to undertake this journey inward without close intimacy with the Lord and a great deal of listening, which requires inner peace and silence.”

Together, we will explore how to soften the noise around us—and within us—so that we may once again hear the quiet voice of God.

This retreat begins with a slow-paced morning designed entirely for you. After arrival and check in, you are invited to spend the morning hours in unhurried solitude—walking the wooded paths, resting beside the creek, journaling, praying, or simply letting the beauty of creation steady your breath. This spacious time outdoors creates room for your spirit to soften and open before the afternoon’s guided experience.

At midday, we gather for a simple, nourishing lunch, sharing time with one another before moving into the heart of the retreat.

The afternoon will be spent in the Chapel with retreat leader Peter Strafaci, who will guide us through a contemplative program rooted in silence, gentle reflection, and the sacred art of listening. Through writing, shared wisdom, reflection in nature, and thoughtful guidance, Peter will help us explore how we can cultivate inner quiet and rediscover the places where God’s voice meets our lives. The session concludes with a time of gratitude and integration as we carry the day’s stillness forward.

Come and experience a restful, renewing day designed to help you listen more deeply, breathe more fully, and reconnect with the God who speaks in silence.
