Lenten Contemplative Days at Well
With Carmen San Juan
Open Dates
Prayer is a plant, the seed of which is sown in the heart of every Christian, but its growth entirely depends on the care we take to nourish it. –Catherine McAuley
The Lenten Contemplative Days are a reflective time for prayer, meditation and contemplation. A time to nurture and care for the seed sown in the heart. Come and “be” at Well of Mercy where you can relax and hear the still small voice from God. Sink into the quiet in a supportive environment surrounded by the beauty of nature. Well of Mercy is a place where you are welcomed to be in the Sacred space of the Chapel, explore the prayer path, walk the labyrinth, or just sit and ponder. This is an opportunity for solitude, silence and prayer during this Lenten season.
The Lenten Contemplative Days are from 10:00am-4:00pm on Tuesdays during Lent at Well of Mercy. After check-in at the Well House, you will gather in the Chapel for a short orientation and a beginning contemplative practice. The remainder of your Lenten Contemplative Day is self-guided.
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes/boots. Bring your bag lunch and beverage for the day, water bottle, and journal. A refrigerator is available to store food if needed.
Meeting with one of our spiritual directors, Carmen San Juan, is available with advance reservations. Please contact Carmen at (704) 819-6948 or email at crsanjuan6@gmail.com for more information.
