Nature's Peaceful Day with Guided Hike and Forest Bathing
With Jordan Marvin and Julie Sczerbinski
October 15, 2025
Discover a new way to be in nature.
An Invitation to Slow Down, Breathe, and Connect
Fall is a beautiful time of year at Well of Mercy. Join us for this day to slow down, breathe and connect.
You are invited to explore trails at a relaxed pace with a guided nature hike. Guided by plant whisperer Jordan Marvin, you will learn about native plants and wildlife, encounter sacred silence and engage in gentle reflection.
Forest bathing, also known as forest therapy, is rooted in the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku—which means “taking in the forest atmosphere.” Forest Bathing Guide, Julie Sczerbinski, will lead you in this science-backed wellness practice that has been shown to reduce stress, boost the immune system, improve mood, and support overall well-being.
During this gentle, two-hour experience, you’ll be guided on a mindful stroll through the woods designed to awaken your senses and deepen your connection with the natural world. You’ll be invited to slow down, notice small details, listen attentively, and experience the forest with fresh awareness. No actual bathing is required—just your presence and willingness to be still.
This restorative immersive day invites you to return to your body, your breath, and the healing rhythms of creation. You’ll leave with a renewed sense of peace—and perhaps, a new lens through which to see the world around you.
Participants should be able to walk comfortably on uneven terrain. No prior hiking or meditation experience is needed. All are welcome.
