Praying the Psalms
With Edgar McCall
April 9, 2025
Prayer is one of the most important ways of connecting to God. The Book of Psalms is called “the prayer book of God’s people”.
With honesty and hope, the Psalms address God in many of life’s circumstances.
While there are several types of Psalms, during this retreat we will focus on those of Trust and those of Lament.
Join us at Well of Mercy for a day retreat, led by Pastor Edgar McCall, dedicated to exploring Psalms. Participants will explore how these biblical prayers can inspire their own prayers and impact their spiritual life.
Retreatants will have time in solitude to offer their own prayers, whether of trust, lament, or praise. These prayers can be a source of healing and hope in the sacred space of Well of Mercy. There will be time to walk the labyrinth, the prayer path and prayer stations or to pray and meditate.
Come explore how the Psalms nurture your spirit and give voice to your own prayers to our gracious God.
Details:
- Please check-in at the Well House upon arrival.
- Please bring a journal, water bottle, and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing.
