Walk With Me? A Prayer Path Practice
With Meredith Doster
Open Dates
A walk is wonder. It is work. It is witness.
A walk is holy word—world, too.
When we journey on foot, the ordinary becomes something extra. The pace of walking brings shape to questions, clarity to longings, and belonging to the spaces between us. Step by step, “you and me and us and them” find a way forward—quietly sacred, ever sufficient.
In this four-season series of daylong walking retreats, practitioner, educator, and writer Meredith Doster invites you into a gentle rhythm of silence, shared presence, and reflective movement. Rooted in her life and work in Madison County, North Carolina—and shaped by her own experiences of silent retreating at Well of Mercy—Meredith offers a practice that unfolds slowly across seasons and settles into the soul.
Each Walk With Me? retreat stands on its own, yet together they form a yearlong arc of noticing, naming, and nurturing what is alive within and around us.
What to Expect
In the weeks before each retreat, participants will receive a digital convening guide with quiet invitations to reflect, prepare, and enter the day with intention.
Retreat days begin in shared silence before we move into an object lesson, a morning walk, and guided reflection. After a nourishing communal lunch, our afternoon continues with walking, spacious conversation, and a closing object lesson to help anchor what the day has offered.
These retreats are designed for gentle walking and mindful presence rather than physical challenge. All levels of mobility awareness are welcome.
Registration
Each retreat date will welcome up to 12 participants. While the series spans four seasons, you are not required to attend all four—each session stands beautifully on its own. As space allows, participants may register for any individual retreat.
