Esther Mfonyam

Esther Mfonyam is an author, licensed marriage and family therapist, and retreat facilitator based in North Carolina. For more than a decade, she has walked alongside individuals, couples, families, and communities in a wide range of settings, including schools, shelters, clinics, community centers, and faith-based organizations.

Esther is the author of Rising, Beyond the Clouds and the creator of the Conversations on Becoming retreat series and Words and Spaces for Becoming, reflective spaces centered on healing, spiritual renewal, and meaningful connection.

Drawing from both her therapeutic background and personal journey, Esther’s work gently weaves together emotional awareness, contemplative practice, reflection, and time in nature.
Her retreats invite participants to slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect with the deeper movements of the heart.

At the center of her work is a deep belief that healing happens through connection: with ourselves, with others, with the natural world, and with the Divine. Through quiet reflection and compassionate presence, she hopes to create spaces where people feel seen, grounded, restored, and gently invited into becoming.
